> SIP interoperability
The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a signaling protocol, widely used in communication sessions such as voice calls over Internet.

Although the native VoIP protocol used in PC-Telephone is better than SIP, PC-Telephone supports SIP for interoperability reasons.

In this way any SIP capable telephone device/software can communicate with PC-Telephone and vice versa.

Use your mobile phone SIP dialer to make cheap PC-Telephone calls over WiFi/mobile internet.

SIP Phone Calls

To use your preferred SIP telephone and profit from the great PC-Telephone offers, use the following settings:

SIP proxy:sip.pctt.net:5060
SIP userID:Your PC-Telephone PIN
Voice codecs:0/8-G711u/a, 18-G729, 3-GSM6.10
Registration:No

Dial in your SIP telephone a number with the following format: phonenumber@sip.pctt.net, where sip.pctt.net is the name of the PC-Telephone SIP gateway/proxy your call is transferred by and phonenumber is the regular phone number you like to call. The phonenumber should consist of only digits.
